THE LAUNCH POST

Hello everyone, and welcome to hauteclaire's blog!

For those of you who came across this page by accident or sheer randomness, we’d say “What a great coincidence!” We hope you’d stick around and continue reading.

This blog page is here so you can get to know us better and see what happens behind the scenes of our business. We want to share our experiences, stories, and other things that we find interesting! We are committed to updating this blog regularly (cross our hearts!) and providing you with casual, light, and hopefully entertaining read.

To begin, let us give you a quick peek into hauteclaire's first official photoshoot session. If you’re reading this, that means our first collection is up and available in our webshop here. How exciting is that? For a team just embarking on a new business like us, it was such a proud accomplishment. Okay, so it took a lot of preparation and hard work, but they were instantly forgotten once we browsed the resulting pictures and saw our website go live!

The pilot photoshoot took place at a studio in Jurong and we were deeply grateful for our friends who came from all corners of Singapore (even from Pasir Ris!) to be our models, photographer, stylist, garment steamer, even general helper! You raised your brows at "garment steamer"? It's a role not to be underestimated! In fact, we are thinking of hiring a professional garment steamer for our upcoming shoots. Any takers?

As soon as we reached the studio, the girls started fussing over the clothes while the boys began adjusting the lighting and equipments. Once we really started shooting and getting into the flow of things, time passed like a breeze as we went from shoot to shoot, pose to pose, dress to dress. We have to say, we were really impressed by our models' professionalism! They were hardly goofing around...

Well. We said “hardly”.

After all, as much as we wanted to get the job done, we wanted to have fun doing it! And we couldn't be happier by how the photos all turned out. The models looked relaxed, comfortable, and happy, exactly what we want all of you to feel when you’re wearing our clothes!

And here are a couple of shoots from within the shoot (Yes, lighting at the studio is more romantic than you normally would think!):

We finished shooting four hours later, and considering this was our first time doing it (and the amount of time we spent time chit-chatting and taking silly pictures), we’d like to think it was quite fast and efficient! All that's left for you to do now is go to our online shop and check out our first collection. We hope you like them, decide to buy some, and better yet, help us tell your friends about them! They are really as good as they look, if not better, you just have to try them yourself.

So ahem... with the power vested in me this blog post, hauteclaire is officially open for business! We look forward to serving, assisting, and hearing back from you! One of the great things about online shopping, beside the heightened convenience of shopping without moving an inch, not having to lug your purchases but getting them delivered straight to your doorstep, and spending no time at all between shops and malls, is... our shop is virtually open 24/7! Never will you hear the announcement “Dear Shoppers, we are closing in 10 minutes. Please get out from our shop, we want to go home!”
